Adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers need look no further than the Adventuredome theme park. A more family-friendly alternative to the casinos and raucous nightlife, Adventuredome has over 20 different rides, including bumper cars, climbing walls, a Ferris wheel and the world’s only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster.
You can’t miss Adventuredome’s unique building – with a roof made totally from pink-tinted glass and an interior that resembles a canyon, the theme park is part of the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Adventuredome is ideal for families, offering plenty of child-friendly rides. These include the Miner Mike miniature runaway train and the 1920s Thunderbirds aeroplane that takes passengers on a flight above the crowds below.
But Adventuredome is not just for kids, and it’s a great place for the young-at-heart to let off steam. Ride the terrifying Canyon Blaster roller coaster as it twists and twirls, taking its passengers through double loops and corkscrews at almost 90 kilometres an hour. Only those with a strong stomach should ride Chaos, which flips and turns and whirls you around, while the Rim Runner is a thrilling water ride with an 18-metre plunge at the end.
Slow the pace down a little with some of Adventuredome’s more peaceful attractions, including an 18-hole miniature golf course, mini bowling, a virtual reality zone, free clown shows and regular 4D films. If all that fun has made you hungry, head to the food tent next to the park where you can fill up on pizza, burgers and ice cream.
Adventuredome is located at the north end of the Vegas Strip, inside Circus Circus Casino and Resort. You can get there via bus, mini-shuttle or monorail. For more information about transport rates, speak to your hotel concierge. Adventuredome is open every day, but opening times vary each week. You can buy tickets for individual rides or purchase a more economical all-day pass.
