"To be honest I was pretty impressed with the room, there was a double and a single bed, two sofas, some chairs, a desk and a good size TV that I could sign in on to watch iPlayer. "Justify the price I paid.... 45£ for a night for 2 single double beds. Its okay to spend a night here but not suitable for kids as the room size is small. But the facilities were fine and at the city centre just beside the Railway station along with good breakfast that too included in price . Good to spend one night only."

"The staff members were so pleasant and accommodating. I love the whole feel of an old hotel, love how they still have the mail shelf, the chesterfield sofa in the lobby. The room was clean and bright, the bathroom was spacious and clean. Location is perfect and very central."

"Clean room , spotless sheets. Bathroom a little tired but ok. Soap could be repositioned nearer sink. Carpets just about ok. Breakfast better than expected but avoid "restaurant" in the evening and use McD next door."

"The property was nice, the restaurant where we had breakfast was nice and quality good.and beer garden looked nice. However the bedrooms were poor, in need of updating as do the en-suite . The bedroom was clean however. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bus stop outside hotel useful to get into Birmingham ."

"When arrived no one at reception (we arrived at around 4.30) had to hunt for someone. Room on first inspection was nice but dust in places, window would shut properly (hubby had to use curtain tie back to stop it opening). Bathroom had a seweage smell to it so had to keep door shut. No plug in the sink and shower didnt have much pressure and wouldnt stay in position. Only got 2 sets of towels for 3 people as was in family room. "Close to motorway with plenty of parking, staff were friendly and personable, rooms were clean, accommodating and had black out curtains as well an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, tea coffee, etc., bed was large and comfortable, there was good air con and heating, bathroom had all the essentials in Dove which was a pleasant surprise, buffet breakfast was adequate. Overall l would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again."
