"This is our second time staying at this hotel. We booked the Basic Twin Room. The bathroom is quite old. It was very different to where we stayed in last year (we got a "new" room). I think this needs to be renovated, but the room itself is quite comfy, except the air conditioner. We tried to set the temperature to the lowest with high fan, but the room was still hot and stuffy especially when sleeping. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the stay. We got a nice view of the river, the hotel...

"Check-in was a little confusing as I had just wanted to leave my bag at the concierge before returning later for check-in at 3 pm, but the reception staff didn't seem to understand. Before I knew what was happening, they checked me in early (around 12 noon). Unfortunately, the cleaning staff were still cleaning the room, so I had to just leave my bag in my room while the staff were cleaning. Other than that, the hotel was fine. "Location was superb right outside the Hanabatacho station. Across the street from the Kumamoto Castle and in a huge shopping district. Staff were great the only negatives were the desk chair was heavily stained along with the bed pillows needed replacing. With a little upkeep we would of given this hotel 5 stars."
