"Check-in was a little confusing as I had just wanted to leave my bag at the concierge before returning later for check-in at 3 pm, but the reception staff didn't seem to understand. Before I knew what was happening, they checked me in early (around 12 noon). Unfortunately, the cleaning staff were still cleaning the room, so I had to just leave my bag in my room while the staff were cleaning. Other than that, the hotel was fine. "Front desk staff was polite, kind, pleasant and competent. Conveniently located for enjoying parks and downtown. Wish it had an electric outlet and more counter space in the bathroom and no elevated partition that could be easily tripped at the bathroom entrance. "

"This hotel is “The classy” hotel. Built a while ago, so it has old charm everywhere. Love the option that you can play music BGM that you can enjoy in your room. Everything is old but neatly well kept and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with serving local food with great variety. "

"Hotel was opposite Kumamoto castle, easy walk. Access to hotel was easy by tram from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was very clean and had everything needed. I had view of Kumamoto Castle from my room which is awesome however you can go to the rooftop for amazing views of the castle also. I had the whole rooftop to myself to enjoy the beautiful night view of the area. Everything was walkable - food, castle, transport. Highly recommend."
