"We stayed one night at the Hotel Station Amstelveen. Every aspect our our stay deserves 5*. Our room was clean, spacious and had views of the quaint town it resides in. "This place was surprisingly comfortable. It’s there for the venues it serves and appears fairly minimalist. However, the room was comfortable and, while crowded, the bar was atmospheric. Breakfast is a little disappointing but adequate. My only real complaint is that when ordering in the bar you seem to wait a lot longer if you use the online system - far better to shoulder your way to the bar which seems rather perverse. We did eventually catch one of the servers and finally got our order...

"Top notch in all areas of a stay in Amsterdam. Had a corner room with glass on both walls. Just a great feel and elegance to stay. Would have given 6 stars if an option. Can walk to Musueum district. Loads of bike paths. Breakfast buffet quality is a whole new level. Like being between airport and city center. "

OK for budget break

"Not in the most beautiful part of Amsterdam but handy for the arena and metro station across the street. Basic room but decent bed and helpful staff. Offers better value for money than hotels in centre but be prepared to use public transport. Would definitely use again if looking for a budget break."

Great stay!

"Great hotel! Not the closest one from the main sites but the metro station is minutes away so you can get anywhere. Big room and big bathroom, everything brand new, looks like the hotel has been recently renovated. I just didn't love the pillows as they were a bit too small for me, more like a cushion. But, still had good nights of sleep. Would definitely come back! "

"I was attending a concert at the Ziggo Dome and Jaz in the City Amsterdam is right next door, so very convenient. The restaurant is small, but the food is tasty and nicely priced. The front staff was friendly and rewarded a well timed joke with a free beer card! Room was excellent…clean, lovely shower, and nice coffee. 7 minute walk to a metro station that is only 15 minutes to Amsterdam Central Station. Excellent price too. "
