"The Verso Hotel is a unique property that caught my attention because of its celebration of poetry, excellent rooftop and centric location near the Neruda House. What prompted me to write this review is the incomparable customer service we received from every single staff member at Verso. My parents and I only intended to stay at Verso 1 night on our way back to Santiago, however an unexpected medical emergency led to my mom being hospitalised for 7 days. "The hotel was in an ideal location to explore the artistic streets of Valparaiso. Our room and the common area were artfully decorated and made for a welcoming and warm environment. The staff was friendly and helpful. "

"The host/hostess were very friendly and helpful. They showed us how to get to the old town safely by foot and very specific instructions as to how to get local transportation back. They had a wonderful breakfast in the morning"

"The location was a little out of town but had a nice sea view. The apartment was a decent size but unfortunately the carpets were very stained and the level of cleanliness was poor. In particular the duvet cover was dirty and there were hairs in the bathroom sink. The shower in the second bathroom did not work. As things stand I wouldn't recommend this apartment."

"Lovely hotel with beautiful views of the port. Excellent location and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Nicely decorated with a large terrace. Reserve a balcony room if possible. Lots of good restaurants nearby, and the street art! I would come back to Valparaiso just to stay at this hotel."

"Absolutely amazing. Dead-center of everything you'll want to see and do in Valparaiso. If you can, get a room with the terrace view, which provides direct access to the stairs to the roof and its stunning 360 degree views. The couple that runs this place are just lovely and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Our only complaint was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. A lot of the restaurants in the area served huge portions, and we had nowhere to put the leftovers."
