"The Verso Hotel is a unique property that caught my attention because of its celebration of poetry, excellent rooftop and centric location near the Neruda House. "Wonderful and very helpful stay They were all great It’s very hard walk around the hotel since the hole city is on a huge hill We had a few problems with no internet on the third floor where our suite was for the last day so couldn’t see movies Also big problem with the shower with the water being scorching hot and a dribble of cold. They said it couldn’t get fix because of water pressure. So very difficult and almost impossible to shower and we were there 5 nights The last small problem was...

"The location was a little out of town but had a nice sea view. The apartment was a decent size but unfortunately the carpets were very stained and the level of cleanliness was poor. In particular the duvet cover was dirty and there were hairs in the bathroom sink. The shower in the second bathroom did not work. As things stand I wouldn't recommend this apartment."

"This apartment is well equipped but ageing. It has modern TVs in every room, and comfortable beds, but everything else is quite worn. The rooms had good blackout curtains. It was clean. The neighborhood is certainly not the best; while it´s right beside a big shopping center, malls are not the central reason for which people visit Valparaiso. The barrio is very dirty and quite poor, and to get to decent restaurants or nice neighborhoods, you have to go up the other hills. "

"The Hotel Boutique 17 is a wonderful place. I cannot say enough good about it. The entire staff is great, from the front desk to the cleaning personel to the waiters at the restaurant. They are compitent and pleasant. The restaurant /bar has the best view in town and really good food. And the rooms are spacios, clean, and comfortable. I wish I had stayed there a month"

"Absolutely amazing. Dead-center of everything you'll want to see and do in Valparaiso. If you can, get a room with the terrace view, which provides direct access to the stairs to the roof and its stunning 360 degree views. The couple that runs this place are just lovely and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. Our only complaint was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. A lot of the restaurants in the area served huge portions, and we had nowhere to put the leftovers."
