"Location is amazing! Right in the heart of the greatest parts of Valparaiso. The hotel is very simple, but just what I needed for the few days I stayed there. It's a safe hotel because someone is always around at the front door. You do need to often ring the doorbell to get in, but the owner comes to get you very quickly. He is also so helpful and will guide you wherever you need to go in the city. Recommend to the solo traveler!"

"We stayed here two nights. We are Americans used to boring, run-of-the-mill hotels with no character and neutral staff who don’t like the guests. This was a lovely break from our norm. Everyone was super friendly, desirous to make our stay happy and give recommendations. The ceilings were super high in our room overlooking the bay, with a chandelier and lovely paint color. "This apartment is well equipped but ageing. It has modern TVs in every room, and comfortable beds, but everything else is quite worn. The rooms had good blackout curtains. It was clean. The neighborhood is certainly not the best; while it´s right beside a big shopping center, malls are not the central reason for which people visit Valparaiso. The barrio is very dirty and quite poor, and to get to decent restaurants or nice neighborhoods, you have to go up the other hills. "
