"I'm a single woman with a 10 year old son and we had a wonderful time here. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfy, the room was lovely and warm. The quilts were really good quality down and little things like that make all the difference! My son and I loved the breakfast, a great variety to choose from. My son is really fussy so that's a massive compliment. The hotel was impeccably clean and I loved the body lotion in the rooms. The staff made the hotel amazing, it was good without but the friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help, really made our holiday. Thank you all at hotel thon polar. We had an amazing holiday and I hope to come back later in the year! "

"The staff here is why I rated 5. The hotel is modest and slightly tired BUT the staff were so helpful, fun, and informative. Every recommendation was A . I would highly suggest as a budget friendly option. "

"Pros: Location was 1 street behind main shopping street and around 5mins walk to nearest bus stops. Room was clean with heating, although windows allowed cold air to pass through. My friend found it cold but I thought it was ok under the duvet. Basic amenities included (towels, hair dryer, shampoo body wash). Staff was friendly and accommodating (we had to ask for new hair dryer and top-up of shampoo). Cons: room would be small for extended stay, but was ok for 3 days. If you visit in winter, please get shoes with ice grip! Many people were slipping everywhere. I had to take long detours just to avoid icy sidewalks."

"Super helpful receptionist who gave me the option to move rooms at check in as I had arrived early and my room wasn’t ready yet. She also gave me lots of information. Very clean rooms & comfy beds, lovely view from my room. Clean bathrooms and toilets,"
