"When booking was confirmed, it said the hotel would send us check in details with password 48 hours in advance. However, we never received anything, and they were not responsive on hotels.com message. In the end, I needed to call their 24-hour security hotline (as it was a weekend) for those details, which was really bad as they failed to do what they promised. Also, for check out, they sent an email to ask us our check out time, but after I replied, they never confirmed receipt of email. And...

"This is a beautiful hotel with modern rooms, coffee makers, and made service every day. To take advantage of the wonderful spa while you were there. I think the price is a little high, but it’s definitely worth it. My only observation negative is that it is a 1/2 to 1 mile walk to the shopping and restaurant areas. This may not sound far, but when it’s the dead of winter and dark outside, it is a consideration. Taxis in this city or quite expensive."

"The house is a bit outside town in a separate peaceful island. If you like more peaceful location, this is a good option. The town itself is easily reachable if you have a car. Multiple grocery stores are also nearby. The suite was well equipped and is suitable for two persons. The owner was also nice and we had easy communication with her of the practical accommodation matters. "

"Andy, the night shift concierge did his best to accomodate all our requests, he's been super kind and professional! We expected a bit more from the staff at the breakfast area, the vegan/vegetarian options were there but the signs were difficult to understand. Plenty of non-dairy options but no chance to prepare a cappuccino (or just hot milk) with soya/oat. Amazing peanut butter, though! Very elegant and comfortable rooms with a very nice view"

"We had a great stay overall. The check-in was the easiest and quickest we have experienced in quite some time. There was free coffee / tea available by the reception all day, a very nice touch in the cold. The sauna in the central building is spacious and convenient. We also had a private sauna in the beach house we stayed in - this was an amazing surprise (should be called out in the room's details!). In terms of location, both Sommaroy island and the hotel are great - to enjoy the scenery and to hunt for the northern lights. The only suggestion we would have is to maybe install dimmer street / outside building lights if possible - I imagine a lot of people visit for the northern lights, which are more difficult to see due to light pollution (especially when external building lights are accidentally left turned on)."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Moxy. The hotel is very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed it was so far from the City center, but once we figured out the transportation system, it was quite easy to get around. It is probably walkable to the center in the warmer months."
