"We had a lovely weekend stay at the Angel Inn in Chippenham. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed. The room we booked was large and airy with a large king-size bed, a settee and a large bathroom. However, everything in the room was tired. "This is a great place to stay. My room and the whole house was spotless and very comfortable and cosy. The owners are lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was superb and I have yet to feel hungry, 9 hours later. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again. "

"Owner Mike is friendly and service and his breakfast cooking was good. One thing I feel can further improve is, when we arrived at the hotel around 1700hrs it was already total darkness as we are travelling in winter Dec 2024. Mike should install a lamp by the sign board where the instructions for the guests, to guide the guests to the instruction’s board, as the winter darkness make it challenging for us. "It’s historic and full of history . You are in the middle of a historic village Lacock and have so much to visit from the hotel . The bed and meals were good with all your needs catered for . "

"Such a magical place to stay for the nearby town. All of the Harry Potter filming locations were awesome to see and the town was so chill. There was something very D&D about checking in with the bar keep to get a room at the Inn above the pub. We absolutely loved staying here, and everyone was extremely kind. "

"Ideal stay when attending a function at Grittleton house as only a few mins walk. Room was clean however was very cold (we did stay in December). Breakfast was good but no veggie option for my wife and I did not like the cats walking around the dining room and at times sat on my lap and walked across the table."
