This fun and interactive exhibition is the definitive Beatles experience in Liverpool, and one of the city’s most loved attractions. While there are many Beatles museums around the world, The Beatles Story is the only one in their hometown. The city is teeming with stories about the four young boys that came to be loved worldwide, and The Beatles Story has a strong local focus. See the club the band played their first shows in, hear stories from their early days or learn about their childhood in the city. The Beatles Story is a favourite for music lovers, families and Beatles fanatics, and should not be missed on a visit to Liverpool.
Start your visit by seeing where it all started for the Beatles. Within the museum a detailed replica of the Cavern Club shows the stage where the band performed during their early years. Trawl through the massive collection of unique photographs of the Beatles in Liverpool, a highlight of The Beatles Story. Move through the museum to see rare memorabilia, including limited edition vinyl, George Harrison’s guitar and John Lennon’s round glasses. An audio guide narrated by Lennon’s sister, Julia, is available.
The Fab4D Experience takes you on a 3- and 4-D theatre experience. The animated programme tells a comical story starring the Beatles, and appeals to both adults and children. The Beatles Story is a favourite amongst children, and the Discovery Zone is an interactive exhibition space targeted at younger audiences. Play on a giant piano, or join a workshop as you learn the history of the Beatles.
The Beatles Story is located in the Albert Dock cultural precinct and is closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Reach the precinct by bus, car or on foot. Parking is available for a fee at Albert Dock. An admission fee applies for The Beatles Story, and a children’s discount is available.
