"A new hotel with carefully thought out room designs from someone who seems to actually travel. Everything is new and shiny, and works. Very professional and courteous, multilingual staff. If the other hotels in this chain are up to the Sapporo standard, I'd stay there exclusively. Great value!"

"This is a good hotel for its price point. Very close to JR station, underground shopping & dining & convenience stores. My only complaint is that the room is too small for two people with large suitcases & backpacks. No closet or safe either. "

"Great location near Sapporo Station with all nonsmoking rooms. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were very welcoming. The room was a good size with a small chair and enough space to keep my suitcase open. The breakfast room is pretty small and there was a long line at around 7am so I had to skip it. There is a smoking room in the hotel, which, unfortunately, is in the main hall across from the breakfast room and the smell was pretty terrible outside the room. Overall, I would recommend...

"We had a wonderful stay in Sapporo in Solaria. We were in Lake Toya and took a regional bus to Sapporo. The bus dropped us about 8 mins walk to the hotel. Checking in was easy. The hotel is super clean and pleasant to stay. The subway station is a short walk so super convenient. There’s onsite onsen bed we did every night. This was our first time in Sapporo. We would definitely stay here again."

"The staff were friendly and helpful always. Rooms are a little small as is common for hotels in Japan, but the amenities were excellent. Everything is as described in their listing, and often better. Among many similar hotels with a great downtown location close to trains and buses, Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae holds its own!"

"사진과 같이 넓고 편안한 숙소 였습니다!! 챙겨주신 수건과 어메니티들도 모자람 없이 충분했어요. 숙소에 식기와 전자렌지가 있어서 편의점에서 사온 음식 뎁혀먹기도 좋았고, 온풍기가 있어서 춥지 않았습니다! 젖은 옷을 말릴 수 있게 옷 행거도 있었고, 욕조가 있어서 반신욕 할 수도 있어서 추운날씨에 밖에 많이 돌아다니다가 들어와서 몸 담그니 너무 좋더라구요~ 다음에 삿포로가게되면 또 머물고 싶은 숙소였습니다. 숙소에 세탁기가 있어서 장기숙박해도 좋을듯해요!! "

"A rather staid Hotel right in the center of Sapporo, rolling distance via underground passage from the main station. We stayed twice, receiving the same room both times despite one being "standard" and the other "premium". Actually a rather dated but not uncomfortable snug room with a tiny but immaculate and well laid out bathroom. A big plus was the book-ahead price and the FABULOUS breakfast buffet, loaded with Hokkaido specialties."

"Nice, clean hostel with a couple of private rooms. Rooms are basic, but s good value for the price. Of note, the private rooms are on the fifth floor accessible by a steep, narrow staircase - we needed to repack ski bags for our flight the next morning and it was a struggle to get them to our room. Great restaurant on the first floor."

"The hotel is in a convenient location with easy walking to many sites, shoppings, and restaurants. We have three people in the room and the arrangement made for us is very well laid out with three large twin beds and a sitting area. The room is clean with all the amenities provided. "

"The hotel is conveniently located just around the corner from Kotoni station, which is just very close to Sapporo station. When we arrived, my friends asked for a recommendation for a place for lumch and the front desk staff gave a really good recommendation just 3 mins away from the hotel. Also they put our luggage in our room while we had lunch. There's a 7eleven nearby and also a lot of izakayas and restaurants around so you won't run out options for late night snacks. The room is spacious, albeit a little old, but it's kept as clean as can be. "
