"The snacks in the afternoon and available board games were a nice touch. The area wasn't as safe as I expected and its clear the hotel had been redone to look newer but that staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was tough having one elevator out of order with lots of foot traffic going through. "

An old-school gem in the heart of the Castro

"Beck’s is a very well-run, old school motel and I mean that as a compliment. Yes, your view will likely be of the parking lot and the walls are a little thin, but it is beautifully maintained, the rooms are configured for maximum functionality, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the shower is spectacular. The location is central and very convenient to so much of what San Francisco has to offer, and the rates are reasonable. Plus, the recently opened Epicurean Trader right next store is a great source for espresso drinks, pastries, drinks and snacks. I will definitely be staying ant Beck’s again."
