"Great location, friendly staff! "

"We found our room to be pristine, as expected. We stayed 2 nights on either side of our backpacking trip and enjoyed each stay. The staff was very friendly and super helpful when trying to figure out how to get places or where to eat. The only negative thing I can say, and it's more on me, is that on our first night our pillows were thick and firm and my neck was sore the next morning. The 2nd night we stayed, we had thinner, softer pillows. I'm sure if I had just asked, they would have brought me a more comfortable pillow on our first night. I would definitely stay at this hotel again - and hope I get the opportunity to."

"The hot spring pool was absolutely beautiful, and everything about the hotel was stunning. However, the Gatehouse suite was quite disappointing. The living room and bedroom felt small and cramped, almost like a cave, and the view was not great. It was also inconvenient to plug in appliances—making it hard to use the coffee maker, kettle, and other devices. Although a microwave was provided upon request, it was dirty inside and not properly cleaned, which was very disappointing. "

"We stayed 5 days at this property in a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms have recently been refurbished and our room was quite pleasing. It was large. Had a wide sliding French door which opened onto a small terrace which overlooked Lynx Street. The room had 3 armchairs, a small area with a sink, a small countertop, microwave and a small fridge. The bathroom had a tub with new shower. There was a grab bar for safety but it was situated such that one could not utilize it when getting out of the tub. The location of the hotel is ideal. Close to downtown Banff and yet on a quiet street. We slept with the sliding door open. Its more upscale sister property is across the street and the more budget friendly sister property on one side, close to the Bow River. One of its 2 restaurants was closed. La Terrazza it’s “Italian” restaurant was open and we breakfast and one dinner there. The lobster bisque, the Steelhead Trout Gravlax, the Tiramisu Semifroddo, Turkish eggs and Avocado Bagel were outstanding. The Australian & English (British) waitresses provided a fast, efficient and friendly service. Sophie at front desk gave us a warm welcome. And the presence of laundry was a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel. "
