"Staff were very friendly and helpful - couldn’t have asked for more. The actual hotel is very clean and well kept. However, it is almost split in half in terms of renovation / comfort - both for the rooms and communal areas. Overall comfortable and nice, but could be better for the price point. The half board buffet was a little disappointing in terms of range / quality, but the restaurant staff were very kind. Would go back, but probably wouldn’t take the half board option next time. "

"I stayed on the top floor in the off season and it was very good value. The apartment block is one of the most prominent in the whole area, so the views are spectacular. The apartment had everything I needed, with a small but well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is a good size with a great bed, and the room is dark and quiet at night. I didn't have a vehicle, but Stalida and the seafront are comfortably walkable. Recommended, I'd stay here again."

"The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms are well appointed, and they even gave us an upgrade at no additional charge, which was very much appreciated. The staff are all professional and friendly. The reason I gave four instead of five stars was for the tremendous construction noise that was right outside our window. It started very early in the morning. We would’ve appreciated having a heads up there was construction going onso that we could’ve chosen a room perhaps facing the opposite direction....

"By far our favorite from this trip. Reception was so helpful and helped us get settled and checked in early. The included breakfast buffet was a huge bonus with lots of variety and fresh options. Overall the staff was excellent and we had a very comfortable and romantic stay! "

"Dining experience excellent value as added in as half board and the food was really tasty. Service was excellent, throughout and especially Eftychia on front desk. Our first room had view of the car park so asked to move and while we had a 3rd bed and it was nice to see a side view of the sea, we had paid for full view. The second room was tired and the bathroom awful: very old, pull switch to electric in the actual shower, old tiles, shower head pointed out of shower slightly and couldn’t...

"Fantastic facilities and great options for all ages. Food quality is fantastic and the main restaurant has themed nights to keep it varied. Most of the food is also cooked fresh in open kitchens which is great. The dining area can be a bit noisy but there’s an adults only area which I’m sure would be quieter. Room was fantastic for us. We had 2 adjoining rooms for a family of 5 and had 4 separate sleeping areas. Staff were great although the bar staff were always stretched resulting in long queues. Water park area is fantastic. Kids loved it. The option of an indoor pool in low season also great if the weather is not great. Beach area is amazing and so are the never ending pool options. The kids club looked great although our kids were probably on the older side so didn’t participate. The play park is awesome. Huge climbing frames and crazy golf all within a secured gated area. Having the tennis/sports centre facilities adjacent to the hotel is also a great option with free table tennis within the sports centre building. Only suggestion is to consider table service as no one wants to spend up to 15mins queuing at the bar. Not really giving 5 star vibes. Was nice to see the hotel manager getting table service though… All in all, we’d likely return. "

"My siblings and I had a pleasant stay at Mitsis Rinela. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurants had a wide variety of food to choose from, and there was entertainment on every night we were there. Definitely a hotel to stay at during a visit to Heraklion."

"We traveled as a family: two of us and our 1.5-year-old. The room we stayed in was spacious. The beds were relatively comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The biggest treat was the view. We had a room on the fourth floor with a spectacular view of the bay and the sea beyond. Breakfast was served on the top floor, and the dining area also had a spectacular view of the sea. The breakfast options were some of the best we experienced, including self-made Greek coffee and a self-assembled traditional Cretan meal, a hand juicer to make your own fresh orange juice an loads of other options for food and drinks. In January, the room was a little chilly and slightly humid, and this was an unpleasant combination. But thankfully the heating element worked well enough, and we made it fairly comfortable in the end. The staff were very friendly. There is a small tea/coffee bar on the ground floor which needs to be serviced by the concierge. There is no tea kettle in the room itself! This was probably the only downside for our stay since we would have liked to warm up some of the water for our daughter or had the ability to make tea ourselves. Lastly, there is a laundry business just a few steps away from the hotel. The man who runs the business dropped off our clean laundry at the hotel. So, keep this option in mind as you travel. As a whole, this hotel was excellent. Get a room with a sea view. It is worth it."
