"Very good tourist hotel. Service and staff were marvelous. They worked hard to exceed service levels. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive. The only negative I have to offer about the property itself is the harsh direct lighting in the rooms. It would have been much better to have some table lamps for the night stands and the desk. The hotel is wedged between the redeveloped waterfront (good) and the hostelries and low-end shops catering to younger, less affluent travelers (not so great). The street it sits on looks as if it’s about to be redeveloped (also good). "

"The best hotel ever! Spacious lobby and bar and restaurant area. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and lots of it. The room was lovely and the bed and bed linen were great. Soft and harder pillows and efficient AC. Couldn’t fault anything!"

"Generally an excellent stay. Staff were outstanding. A couple of niggles. 1.Checking in we were required to provide photo ID. We are local and arrived by taxi. My husband made the booking and left his driver licence at home. Although my name was also on the booking my photo ID was not acceptable to the Cordis. The hassle that followed could have been avoided if there had been a reminder on the booking information. 2. Dinner cost - we had planned to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with dinner at Eight restaurant. At $148 per dinner per person it was out of our price range. We sat on the street and enjoyed fish and chips from a local takeaway "
