"My family stayed here for 1 night. We got two rooms. Both rooms were huge with two double beds in each room. I estimate the rooms were 2-3 times the size of a typical Japanese hotel room. The rooms were very clean as was the entire resort building. The onsen experience was good (this is the entire reason you would stay here). There is an in-door and out-door soaking pool. Rurikoh had many good services (free shuttle to/from Kagaonsen train station, spa w/massages, outdoor foot onsen, taiko drum performance, free afternoon snacks), a beautiful outdoor onsen and large indoor one, very good traditional Japanese breakfast, and very welcoming staff. "This hotel was dirty!! We were expecting old as we wanted to keep costs down and rayes were low. I have stayed in many APA hotels across Japan and they are fine. But this one was filthy. We had booked 4 nights but after one night cancelled and changed to another hotel. Beds were actually decent in condition (APA Kyoto had beds made out of cardboard) but mold and dust, dirty everywhere in room. Can’t recommend it here. Plenty of nice hotels in Kanazawa."
