Lodges in Scotland

"We stayed here for two nights and felt cosy even in the storm which started the night we checked in. I was bit concerned for the heating and facilities for it being a one room lodge with what seems not the most cold resistant insulation around windows and doors. BUT I have to say that never we felt cold as heater quickly warmed up both room and bathroom, and it stayed so. We absolutely loved interior of our little room. "We were in the riverside lodge and although the lodge was lovely it lacked privacy as the hot tub and decking area was fully visible to people walking past from the nearby bridge, passersby could see right in to the accommodation. The lodge probably wasn’t worth the total amount of money we spent but it is a beautiful setting. The lodges are marketed as luxury, but we wouldn’t class the ‘level’ of luxury as commensurate to the price - the breakfast was pleasant but basic and the shower/toilet...
