Top 10 Hotels Near Sanzenin Temple

Kyoto Ohara Ryokan Seryo

4.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (73)
"We had a beautiful, relaxing, and very special few nights at Seryo - the property is gorgeous and spotless; the staff is friendly and accommodating; and the food was out-of-this-world! It’s obvious the owner and everyone at Seryo put a lot of love and care into both Seryo and the guest experience. We can’t wait to tell all our friends and family to come to Kyoto and stay at Seryo. "We stayed for just one night to expierence the best this ryokan had to offer and man did it exceed all our expectations. To truly know, book one of their 4 suites. The #500 rooms. Massive rooms with authentic tatami mats, personal and private onsen that is open air facing the beautiful lake, out of this world seasonal dinner/breakfast course. The area is secluded enough to be quiet but not far from the local town. Cute and quaint souvenir shop. Oh and the bidet toilet is the best we've ever...

Satoyu Mukashibanashi Yuzanso Ryokan

3.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (247)
"Very traditional Japanese ryokan. Vast majority of guests are Japanese and so is authentic but also a bit weird… that’s to say, it doesn’t cater to foreigners. Can’t decide if the decor is stuck in the 1980s or if this is just Japanese taste. We had one of the fancy rooms with a private lounge and a private bath tub (could fit 2 small people) overlooking the mountain and lake. This was lovely. Public baths were on 3rd floor, but we didn’t use those. Stayed for 2 days, so ate 2 elaborate...

Ogoto Onsen Yunoyado Komolebi

3.5 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (74)
"overall experience was ok. It was a cool experience and only that. The room looked cool but it was dusty. The bathroom smelled like pee was soaked into the wooden floors. The a/c was a bit musty. There was no beef that was promised on the website. The Japanese dinner and breakfast consisted of fish and more fish so if you’re not a fan of fish, it would be hard for you to stomach. The staff were very nice and helpful though. I had many questions and they were able to answer all of them."
