"This little bit of heaven just outside the touristy chaos of La Fortuna was much more than we hoped for. The owners have provided everything you might need in a very stylish cottage, and the view of the volcano is unsurpassed. In fact, we cancelled our dinner reservations and had wine and cheese and just enjoyed the late afternoon watching the weather change the look of the volcano. The outdoor spa tub and the extras, like drinks and a delicious rum cake in the fridge, were much appreciated....

"Check in/out was easy meeting put timeline. We got an upgrade what was a nice benefit. Sergio was very welcome and unbelievably helpful with all information and activities suggestions. View from the Lodge is breathtaking. Bed was very comfortable. Will come back and recommend my friends. "

"Not the smoothest of steep roads up the hill but well worth it when you get there. Takes about ten minutes off the main road so not handy if you are heading in and out all the time but so secluded and quiet when you are there. The view alone is worth the effort. The spacious room was more than adequate. "

"We stayed here for 4 nights, it was a bit pricey in my opinion, but it had a stunning view of the hillsides and the volcano (when it wasn't cloud cover). You will need transportation in and out as it's a bit off the beaten path. The Villas are nice and updated on the inside. The bathroom and deck are definitely bigger features in the room as you can sit on the deck and stare out into the lush green fields or you can have a bath doing the same. "Scenic views of lake, sunrise, volcano; location were amazing! Don’t miss the birds at breakfast. I like the location because it was quiet and a short drive to the Arenal National Park. The room was very clean and comfortable, plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. The kitchen was nice. Restaurant was excellent."

"It is a longer walk to the town, but you have convenience of free breakfast and dinner dining on the property. I loved that it was the closet to the Cloud Forest - we walked to the ticket window! Wonderful garden views from our room. Very peaceful. Staff was very helpful in booking tours for us. "

"This hotel was very pretty. The views from the restaurant are once in a lifetime incredible. You can see the Nicola peninsula -a must see. It feels like a European hotel. Quiet luxury. Very romantic and pretty. The grounds were lovely. Everything was top tier. Soaps and products smell delicious. "

"Key card was only activated for two night stay by mistake and we got back from a long hike to not be able to access our room and reception was not manned. It was soon sorted but a bit of a pain. A bit of a lack of plug sockets but just adequate. "

"Lovely place in Monteverde with great views. The owner, Jose, was very friendly and helped us book some great tours. We do note that the walls of the accommodation were fairly thin and you could hear the neighbours. Other then that this was great value for money! "
