"Lovely relaxing stay. We booked the Hanare Karoi luxury twin with its own private open air onsen. It was much needed after all the walking so far this trip, we didn't need to go to the larger public baths on the other levels. They provided a shuttle bus from Ogoto Onsen station. "This place was cool, and had an emphasis on Americanism, with President roooms including a JFK room. It was really nice to experience! We noticed lot of school kids stayed in the hotel, probably for the American historical context, or that it was just right by one of the main train stops. "There was only one parking space left when I arrived at night time. Driving to the hotel was difficult as it's in a city with narrow roads and lots of people walking around and riding bikes. The staff were polite and spoke English. My room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Train station is within walking distance and it takes about 26 min to get to Kyoto station."

"I loved staying at this property! It had so many amazing amenities in addition to the onsen like the free late night ramen, all day ice cream, and morning yogurt drinks! There was a wide spread of items at the breakfast buffet for a great price. The tatami mat feature throughout the hotel was also so unique. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would come back to this hotel next time!"
