The only downside was some furniture/equipment needing a bit of love (door knob broken on the bedside table, screw on the window loose, hook behind the door in the changing rooms of the pool broken etc), plus a bit of noise from the road but really nothing major at all, it was a lovely stay overall"

"I cannot praise this hotel highly enough! Just wish I could have stayed longer. The staff were kind & helpful, my room was spotless, warm & comfortable, the public areas were tastefully decorated, the grounds were beautiful & the buffet breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice. "Pleasant hotel, rooms are pretty standard, nothing different from other hotels. It was clean and had a decent amount of space. The bar was nice and busy, but not too packed. It’s a great location, but I’d steer clear of driving here as the car park is tiny and was packed, so we had a lot of trouble trying to find somewhere that wasn’t an excessive price to park overnight. "Actually, I was sick the entire time I was there, not the fault of the Black Horse. However, the parking situation is terrible. While sick, I had to move the car several times. I found my rental car was side-swiped, and I'm having to pay for damages my insurance doesn't cover. Again, not the fault of the Black Horse."
