"We love the Harbour hotel and use it a couple of times each year (easier than a taxi back and forth to Winchester, easy car parking, short walk to many pubs and restaurants etc). This time we had a studio suite, the room itself was fabulous, very spacious and comfortable but we hate the glass sliding door to the bathroom. One of those silly design over substance things, I'm sure it looks good in the photos, but no-one wants a bathroom door that continually slowly opens itself or offers zero...

"First done in this hotel. Big, 240 bedrooms, very clean, comfortable bed. We had a double single with sea view. Good price but why give the single bed the sea view??? Also heating on some sort of eco setting so went off every 2hrs, not great, so room a bit cold. God location. "

"Loved the restaurant. Excellent service. Everyone we met was very friendly and cheerful throughout our stay. The treatment in the Spa was very good but the Spa area is too small. And due to it being half term - full of grandparents and parents with small children who took over the pool. Nowhere to relax as all the empty seats were piled up with used towels. The hotel should consider removing the gym and expanding the Spa IMO! Would go back for the hotel and it's excellent location and quality...

"It was a lovely hotel with lots of history from the area. Wonderful food and great staff service. Drinks were very nice with lots of great drinks at the bar. Lovely sea view view through the trees. Had a functional room nice and clean with a TV, heater and fan. Two bath towel dressing gowns provided. Games room and children's playground lots of things to do in area very helpful staff when we had query they would do a lot to keep imfomed. "

"The room was clean and comfortable, although the position of the bed meant that I could clearly hear people using the toilet in the room next door. The toilet in my room made a loud humming noise while the cistern was filling but it only lasted for about 5 minutes each time. It was a good value stay in Portsmouth though"

"Excellent central location. Car park at rear of hotel. Lovely people. But Under staffed (slow check out due to only 1 person on reception trying to handle telephone enquiry). Comfy bed, great shower. Expensive."
