"We loved our stay. The grounds were amazing and the staff at the princess grand was amazing and even upgraded us to the adult side which was so sweet. The concierge at the Yucatan was not the best. We got a massage and were opting for separate massages as they were a lower price which was a great deal but they kept pushing the couple massage and assured us the price sheet was for both people. We get to checkout and it ended up being 300 usd. Other than the concierge at the Yucatan all the staff...

"First time at this property, 5th time in Mexico and 2nd time at a Riu Resort (Ocho Rios). The property was beautiful, well laid out and maintained. It was spotless! Check-in was easy and our rooms were ready a couple hours early. The rooms were fresh, clean, no smells and the air conditioning worked perfectly. There is a tub in the middle of the room; weird but it made for a good clothes hanger! The beach and pool were perfect. Chair hogs around the pool but plenty of loungers on the beach....

"This resort is incredible. It is huge and has everything you can ask for. That lazy river is so much fun and long, we loved it. All pools are huge and very clean. The beach is very nice and clean. The second beach are where the fish’s are in is so cool. Your little own aquarium to snorkel in. Food was very good and the drinks were flowing. Lots of activities and kids friendly. We loved our stay! New Year’s Eve party was very great as well. "

"The hotel was very run down and old, but the property has a lot of potential. I should have paid attention to the reviews about the AC because its terrible in the rooms, we switched twuce. Rooms are also moldy but pretty if that makes sense. Staff is VERY VERY attentive!!"

The ferry to Cozumel is only a 20 minute walk and there were plenty of activities each day from dance parties to silent discos to volleyball. The only thing that let us down was the sushi restaurant, the don’t actually carry most of the food on the menu, when you order spicy tuna, eel, salmon, they are often out of it and only carry shrimp. "Our family of four had an amazing 2-week stay at The Royal Haciendas over Christmas. We enjoyed pretty much everything about the resort and we will definitely go back! The pricing through Hotels.com was also the best available and we received a resort credit for being a Silver Member.
