We were so impressed by the impeccable service from every single staff member – their genuine warmth and attentiveness made all the difference. I was greeted by name and that gave me a level of importance during my stay. The gourmet dining options are outstanding; we especially loved the authentic Mexican at El Patio and the Italian food at Portofino .The resort's location in Akumal is perfect for snorkeling with turtles, and we took full advantage of the beautiful beach and watersports. Evenings were filled with fantastic entertainment. Every detail, from the pristine rooms to the lush landscaping, contributed to an unforgettable stay. Highly, highly recommend!"

"Upon check in, we had a minor issue with our room not being ready on time. I did ask to speak to the manager on duty. The hotel manager Kevin was very accommodating and even offered us a special dinner to make up for the late check in. Gabriel, Our room concierge was also great. He was very attentive, helpful and went above and beyond to attend to all of our needs. He planned a romantic dinner for us to celebrate our anniversary. Lucia the manager at olio - was great. She made sure our experience was perfect. You can tell these guys enjoy what they do and take it seriously. I also want to give thanks to Estela at the front desk, Jeremias at preferred lobby bar. I highly recommend this resort. It’s relaxing, luxurious and the customer service is top notch. "

"I had a wonderful time at the Hotel Catalonia, I'm planning on returning to Mexico in the future, and staying at this resort again. There was always something to do, and always a friendly face around the corner. Loved the food and the drinks, and they worked so hard to keep the beach clean during seaweed season. I recommend this hotel to anything one who wants to enjoy a quiet day at the beach with tasty drinks, and a fun-filled night life that doesn't feel like spring break."

"This place is amazing. The most friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone is so nice. The Expedia butler Fernada made all our reservations for dinner prior to coming. Communication was great. Butlers on site were so nice. We had Mafer Jose and Patricia. They were the best and exceeded all our expectations. We will decently coming back. Traveled my husband myself and 3 daughters 24 21 and 18. "
