"The Spa Hotel is spacious and has very nice restrained decor. Our room, booked for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration was very large and very comfortable. It was warm and WiFi worked ok though the signal was a little weak in our part of the hotel. We were able to log into our netflix account using the large TV and it worked very well. "We had a great stay at the hotel, the room was comfortable, good range of tea and coffees. There was no running water when we checked in (and disappointing that we weren't told this at the check.in desk) but it was resolved within the hour. No robe and towel for the spa in the room so we had to dash back and forth there. The spa should close at 8pm on Saturdays but we were asked to leave at 7.40. "Good price. Fairly worn out hotel. Corridors the carpets are worn out, obvious water stains on ceiling. First room had no hot water, given a refurbished room as replacement. Good bar and good steak from restaurant. Large car park £6 per night"

"Nice budget hotel, close to my job and also very close (5 min walk) to the town centre. The room was very spacious although dated in decor and furniture. Temperature control was good and the en suite facilities were very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked rather than warmed up buffet style which was much better. I think the only negative was the tiny TV at the far end of the room 📺🤔"

Nice village setting

"This B&B is in a nice setting. Although it’s on the main road, it’s quite set back and the pub being just opposite this makes for a lovely combination. There is also a convenience store along the road if you wanted to get a morning newspaper etc. The room was very spacious which was nice. Just had to be careful of the beams. The only thing I didn’t enjoy personally was that the owner was quite headmistress like in terms of rules and what she wanted, which basically made us feel like kids being told off, which is not something I want when paying £118 for an overnight stay, but my partner says that perhaps B&Bs are not for me. Back to standard hotels I think…."
