"It's in a very ugly neighborhood, shops close at 6, the neareast supermarket that remains open until 9 is 10 block away in this very ugly neighborhood. Hostel's staff is very kind but I'm not sure if it's a good option in a dangerous city like Rio. I would look for another place. "

"Being our 4th visit to a Windsor in Copacabana and our 3rd at the Excelsior we have a level of familiarity, and expectations which are consistently met. The staff on the ground level and front desk, the room cleaning staff, and of course the whole roof top crew are always professional and we have never been let down. Obviously we'll be back again."

"As far as I am aware I did not receive any VIP benefits. However,THIS is an excellent value hotel.A good size room and very nice bathroom.They served what they called a finger buffet for free Monday- Saturday 5pm-8pm which turned out to be far superior to a finger buffet. Breakfast was also very good. When I arrived it was served up until 11am but then reduced to 10am. 11am is far better for the likes of me. "I’ve stayed in several hotels in Rio, but Rede Andrade was disappointing. Linens, towels were really old, with stains barely having holes on them. Toilet paper was really poor quality too - I had to buy new ones for me. Hotel doesn’t have good TV reception. When there was one, the image and sound was pretty bad. My room was also noisy and black out curtains didn’t really block the sun. Although the hotel staff was great and was always friendly and helpful, I probably wouldn’t stay there again."
