"CONS: The room was not very clean. The bathroom fixtures were broken and their was mildew all over the shower. We found random small bugs in the room on 2 or 3 counts. The walls have cracks and damage. Staff were also not super friendly. No one ever smiles at this hotel. PROS: very comfortable bed. Room is very quiet and black out blinds work great. Central location close to shopping and the university. Hotel and surrounding area felt very safe even at night."

Very good staff - they refuse to take tips but I insisted by leaving the money on the bed when I checked out."

"Convenient location. Near malls and near the Beijing subway. This is my 3rd time staying at Crown Plaza Zhongguancun. The staff are polite and converse well in English. Hotel isn’t modern but is decent in its amenities. Great gym and overall happy with my stay. Pillow can be a little bit more fluffed up. I found it a little flat. "

"The hotel employees at the concierge desk are very helpful with calling share-ride for me, before I had an opportunity to install the necessary software and payment to do it my own. Breakfast buffet is enjoyable, especially when there are no big tourist groups. Not all items are cooked with top-chef skills, but most of them are pleasant to both the taste bud. "Nice hotel for the price. Clean, well sized rooms. Breakfast has a nice selection of chinese and western foods. One thing to note, but it is a reflection of chinese culture, not a criticism of the Hotel directly, there are no atms in the Hotel or vicinity. Most things in China are paid by WeChat through phone payments. Cash isn’t common, so isn’t alwats easy to get. Part of the issue is that there is nothing near the hotel and I mean nothing. "

"The room was dirty, (toe nail clippings on the floor by the bed) cold (radiator was never more than luke warm) - the beds were very, very hard. the en-suite bathroom had a window into the main room! One complain I would have is for Hotels.com the print out of the booking needs to also be available in the language of the country being visited - the reception staff could not read it - resulting it taking over an hour to get booked in when we got there!"
