"The hotel is right opposite the Amanohashidate station. The room was great and all should try the onsen. Staff speaks limited English but they are still very helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. Check out the spread of Japanese seafood items and the fish miso soup. Do plan for your dinner as many shops are closed after 5pm."

"We did not opt for the meal package so it’s possible we missed out on an amazing experience there but we did not miss out on the top level experience of the Kitanoya. Full Japanese ryokan room with the most luxurious 2 person open air granite ofuro I have ever seen let alone enjoyed with a delightful garden beyond. "Not good. Got a window-less room with paper-thin walls, could hear the bloke next door talk to the missus/kids on the phone (tbf wasnt even talking loudly), others snore etc. Breakfast was also poor (at least the 'gaijin' part of it) It's a pity cause the location is great, rental bikes are free, there are plenty of cafes/things to do nearby."

"really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. Staff was super friendly and there was a music venue right next door, although we had other things we wanted to do so we weren't able to go. "This is a hidden gem in my opinion. Location was super convenient, right next to the river and Amanohashidate sandbar. Very cleans and well maintained room, even has a massage chair in the room. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something more authentic and don’t mind that the place doesn’t have a lift and concierge/front desk."

"Rooms were larger than normal for Japan. Right next to the train station. Drug Store open late next door. Large shopping mall across the street with a supermarket open 10a to 8p. For the breakfast , dont get there at the stop time as everything is put away. Very few selections and all things that were supposed to be hot were cold. Very low rating for breakfast."

"Everything is top quality: service, staff's attitude, restaurant, cleanliness, free shuttle from/to the station. They pay attention to every detail and every your request. They have prepared outstanding vegan meal upon my request. Highly recommend to people with food restrictions. Also, there is a garden and various activities that you can enjoy with kids too."
