"We stayed at the Colonial three different times over a period of three weeks. We stayed in three different rooms. The beds and bathrooms seemed very good. The chairs and furniture were a little odd and could use some updating. It was great to have access to a laundry. The location in Launceston was perfect for us - easy walking to enjoy the town. We would stay at the Colonial again. "

"We booked here a bit last minute after some changes to our plans. It's an odd venue - it seems quite new and very well laid out, rooms are spacious and comfortable, rooms fittings all great - and yet there seems very little else going on in St Helens. I can only assume a lot of travellers use the town as a break on longer trips. It certainly wasn't busy while we visited mid January. Restaurant and bar has a huge deck with nice views across the water and wetlands (we had warm sunny weather). Food...
