"The White Eagle does not have staff available after the downstairs bar closes. If staff is needed after hours, a courtesy phone in the hallway dials a downtown hotel also owned by McMenamins. Luckily, I didn’t lock myself out of my room after hours. I did not feel unsafe, however, if I felt uneasy around any guests, I’m not sure if it would have been a good night’s sleep. It was an inexpensive place to stay near a light rail stop close to downtown. Comfortable bed. Close to I-5."
