"Lovely hotel. Had some lovely touches in the rooms with a homely vibe. Right in the centre of the beautiful village of Helmsley. Lovely picturesque place with some lovely shops. Very friendly and inviting village. Would definitely visit village and hotel again. Expedia apparently messed up booking and we were given a double room instead of a twin. "Very lovely Hotel. Staff were attentive and seemed to really care. My room was lovely. My only gripe is that I was cold in the Dining room and my room wasn’t very warm. It was a very cold weekend so hope that this is a little bit unusual. On the whole s lovely few days in a very lovely town. 👍"

"A lovely hotel/pub. The staff were very welcoming helpful, friendly and efficient. The chef produced some wonderful meals We've stayed in larger rooms but that didnt matter as there was everything you needed with the added bonus of being so lovely and warm as we chose to stay during the coldest few days of this year. York, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors were all not far away. We'll definitely be back."

"We had a clean cosy room with a comfortable bed and pillows with Coffee, Tea and biscuits on a Tray in the room. The hotel is on farmland, the room was very quiet at night with an owl hooting early morning. The breakfasts were very good with cereals, juices, yoghurts and pastries to choose from, followed by a good cooked English breakfast. Becky was very helpful and made all guests feel welcome. Friendly family pets are often in the Bar. "

"Excellent accommodation. Hosts went above and beyond for us. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Lovely homely cottage and beautiful views. Ideal location to visit Dalby Forest, York, Whitby, Scarborough etc. Locals were all so kind and helpful too. Would highly recommend."
