"I was here for an 8-day ski trip, 6 nights in a Western-style room, and 1 night in a Japanese-style room. The hotel is very spacious and I really like the rustic/quaint atmosphere. I really liked that the western room had a couch. Made full use of the onsen and ski locker room in the basement. Free Kaiseki Breakfast was very convenient. "We had an amazing and relaxing 2 night stay here. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the Kaiseki meals and breakfasts were great (and huge). The public and private onsens were really nice, and not crowded at all possibly because we visited during the summer. Great location to visit the snow monkey park! "

"The staff were amazing and very accommodating with bags. They actually have a pick up service depending on your arrival and departure times. This was a bonus since it worked out when we were leaving. Our room was very spacious and comfortable!"

"Good value for the money. Five of us stayed in one room. The building was older and the amenities were basic but you get what you pay for. The service was friendly and excellent. He didn't speak much English but it was easy enough understanding what he was saying and he had signs in English as well to explain things. Because of covid the onsen/shower hours are reduced but it was still enjoyable. The room was clean and a heater was provided as well as hot water for tea. The futons were clean and...

"This hotel is a giant log house, situated in a beautiful street of similar buildings. Nothing beats waking up to fresh snow falling outside your window (massive glass windows) and sipping on a hot cup of tea. The room was very cosy and comfortable! I had the best sleeps here. After a hard day of snow boarding, coming back to just sit in front of the fire, watch the snow fall, have a bath or have drinks with friends in the common area was absolutely amazing!! Wish I never had to leave! 10/10!!!! "

"Service was excellent. Owner was super nice. This was a super convinient hotel to stay as the convinience store was located right across the street. The snow gear rental was one shop over. The nearest restuarant was 50 feet away. Would I return? 100% i would. "

"It's our second time to stay here as they got everything we need, washing machine, kitchen, spacing and nearby the slopes. Love everything here. It would be even greater if they have a curtain in the bedroom as I'm not a morning person and it's so bright in the morning."

Dormy Inn Nagano Zenkounoyu Natural Hot Spring

"The Dormy Inn in Nagano was an excellent value! The location is first rate - less than 10 minutes walking from Nagano Station. The Inn has wonderful amenities - an indoor/outdoor onsen. After onsen free ice cream snacks. A very tasty breakfast including Japanese and western cuisine - the quality and variety was great and the price was reasonable. They also have chilled apple juice during the day and made to order ramen in the evening. If you miss the ramen, they will give you a Cup-of-Noodles. The room was typical for Japanese hotel rooms but efficiently laid out. The location was on a quiet side street but had many restaurants and shops close by. Zenkoji temple is only 1.5K away (you can walk it) Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again"
