"The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful, and the meals were outstanding. The onsen was delightful and felt private and was never crowded. Proximity to the station and location in a quaint neighborhood made it feel special yet convenient. "

"We were picked up from the train and immediately got a ride to the monkey park, a major reason for our visit. The hotel then sent a shuttle to pick us up and return us to the hotel where our luggage had already been taken to the room. This was a more traditional place with shoe removal and slippers provided. Dinner was incredible despite my not loving a few of the items in the set course menu. Breakfast was equally fulfilling. We did not take advantage of the public onsens due to our short visit...

"A great base to visit the snow monkeys. A beautiful and traditional onsen. The breakfast and dinner was served by older ladies that did not necessarily speak English but definitely kept trying to make it an amazing experience each time. The variety of the served food was just overwhelming. So delicious and always something freshly cooked right at your table. An opportunity to stay at traditional Japanese tatami room is a memorable experience. Free pick up from the railway station. "

"The rooms had a classic "Showa era" style, which gave them a great atmosphere, and were quite spacious for two people. The onsen was on the small side but clean and nice, with a pretty outdoor area. There was a lounge area with free drinks, nuts, and dried fruit. It was a decent value. I'd stay there again."
