"Up-to-date, classy, modern, quiet, very clean, excellant hospitality, sparkling clean pool and spa. Best bang for the buck in the area. The breakfast consisted of mini blueberry muffins, bagels, toast, English muffins, tatter tots, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, egg omelette, pancakes, apples, bananas, various cereals, and my favorite; the self serve yogurt machine with various sprinkle on toppings. "room was dated but clean and warm. Shower preseure could have been greater. TV was nice flat screen. Bed was comfy, 4 pillows was nice. Frig/freezer and micro wave good to have. Area was OK, quiet and did not notice folks loitering and such. The bar next door was nice, ate and drank a bit there. Overall if I was in the area again would stay here."

"Jock and Ronnie at the front desk took great care to ensure that I was comfortable during my stay. And earlier in the morning when I needed to check a bag so I could head to work, Tony assured me my room would be available when I returned mid afternoon. I appreciate that these gentlemen were always welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. The River Hotel has become my go-to hotel for my stays in Chicago. It’s hard to find teams that provide great service consistently AND even recognize you from stay to stay so you feel like you’re at home when you arrive. Thank you! "
