"We received a very warm welcome and the service throughout was fantastic. The room was cozy, clean and special. The breakfast was great. I enjoyed the thoughtfulness of the locally sourced ingredients. Overall Matera is a magical place to visit and Fra i Sassi was a special place to spend the night. "

"This property deserves a big thumbs up. Cave rooms were very well designed with a lot of attention to detail (lights, candles, custom shower gels). Breakfast was one of the best I had recently with a lot of local cheese and fruits instead of banal buffet items. Ricotta was simply amazing. Staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The only recommendation I would give is that since each room is unique I would put each room and its images separately instead of room category. "
