"Had city facing room, which actually had a partial sea view. Nice hotel, a little dated with darker wood finish but good size room with tall windows. Bed comfortable, safe provided, fridge but no tea/coffee making facility. Good breakfast. Hotel is about a 15 min walk from bus station. We were there towards end of season so hotel quiet on check in but got a little busier. Enjoyed stay."

"First the positive: this is a fine hotel with nice facilities and nice beach access within walking distance of Novigrad center. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Good spa / gym. The staff really try to be helpful - and they were helpful with several requests. Now the negative - our room was dirty when we arrived - there was a dried blood spot on one duvet cover, there were hairs in the bathroom and an old bar of soap still in the shower. The hairs in the bathroom I noticed when I arrived but...

In dem Hotel Nautica ist alles perfekt: wir hatten zwei Zimmer gebucht - es wurde arrangiert, dass diese nebeneinander liegen. Die Zimmer sind gediegen und hochwertig ausgestattet. Außerdem reisten wir mit Hund an: im Zimmer war bereits ein Hundebett vorbereitet :) Mit Hund ist man in allen Bereichen des Hotels willkommen (auch Restaurant/Frühstück). "The apartment was over three floors with steep steps (not good for anyone with mobility issues) in an old building. The place is full of character and worldly charm however it is, by definition really, quite old feeling. The bathroom consisted of an enclosed shower that was tiny (anyone of a larger build simply wouldn't be able to use it so be warned!) but otherwise we had a lovely stay"

"We had a wonderful time in Kottli. The houses are charming and well maintained. I did read a review before we went there complaining about the cleanliness of the property, but whoever wrote that probably doesn't live in the countryside. We found it perfectly clean for a rural property and Sanja who looks after the property was very nice and friendly. Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the tourist hot spots! "

" Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. I wanted to stay in Piran but choose this hotel initially for two reasons: (a) it was walking distance along a promenade to Piran and offered free parking; and (b) it would be staying in a slice of history as the form of the hotel (though not the renovated interiors) harked back to the more brutalist days of the Yugoslav Republic. Then I got there - the staff were unfailingly lovely; the room was big (after several days of tiny rooms); each room has an expansive sea view; the breakfast was out of this world; and it was a beautiful promenade in front of the hotel along the sea. It was really a singular experience and one of the reasons that Piran was a highlight of the trip. My mother (70 yo) felt very poorly on the last night of the trip and was quite ill during the night. As we didn't have to leave to go to the airport until 4pm, I requested a late-check out. Not only did they give my mother the room until 4pm, but they didn't accept extra payment for the additional time in the room. Honestly I can't recommend this hotel more highly!"
