"We only stayed for one night. We read the reviews before we booked, and were not at all disapointed. The hosts Pat, and Keith were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a cup of tea, and suggested a nice pub for us to eat in the evening, and booked it for us. We stayed in a room downstairs which was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely return."

"This is an excellent pub. The service was exceptional, the food was very good and the ambience and atmosphere fantastic. This is a characterful old building with lots of books and crannies. Good beer too. The accommodation is good - a little like motel accommodation at the back of the pub in separate purpose-built buildings. It was comfortable and suited our needs well. Would definitely return. "

"Attended a family wedding. Staff, service, food and venue as a whole were all excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly, we really enjoyed our chat with the head chef (Ale) who we met outside the vegetable garden, great guy, passionate about the hotel, menu selection etc. Every meal was exceptional.
