The property was well kept and reasonably priced. It was just a little too old for our tastes; however, because of the convenience of its location, we will probably return.

This charming hotel was clean and the staff was attentive, next door was as a pastry coffee shop. The jewel was the hotel restaurant with courtyard. Bartender was creative and food was amazing. Big surprise. Will be back

We are a retired couple on holiday from Australia. We found the Historic Hollywood Hotel to be well-priced. It's conveniently located on Melrose Avenue. It is less than 2 km (just over 1 mile) from Larchmont Village for local coffee shops and restaurants. It's also about 3 km (2 miles) from the famous intersection of Hollywood and Vine. Our room was spacious and comfortable with 2 queen beds. The mattresses weren't great, but with one each were satisfactory. The free Wi-Fi worked well enough. The Edmon cocktail bar attached to the hotel was a popular local watering hole with an excellent bar menu for meals. And right next door in the same building was Sweet Corner Coffee and Cakes - good for breakfast, morning tea or a light lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, would highly recommend if wanting affordable accommodation very close to the action in Hollywood.

I like the vintage feel to the hotel. If you want anything fancy and modern this is not the hotel you want, go to a Westin or Hilton, but if you want a nice, calm, and cozy hotel this is the hotel for you. I would totally be back.

A quirky old hotel with an interesting history. The room was fine but sparsely furnished and the lighting was dim. The front desk staff was very friendly and offered great suggestions for dining.

Excellent historic hotel! Extremely clean, has to be the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!! There is a cute cafe that one door down and a little convenience store for all your needs. In walking distance to Paramount Studios as well. The only downside is the Wi-Fi was wonky, but not to much of a bother because we didn’t spend much time in the room.

Despite the vintage vibe, the amenities were up-to-date, including a very comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and reliable Wi-Fi. The location is perfect for exploring Hollywood and beyond. There’s also a charming coffee shop on-site, which was perfect for starting my mornings. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My room was beside the staircase on the second floor. There was no table, or chair to sit on. The building is extremely old, where you can hear all the creams and cracks when people were walking. The worst part was the wifi. It barely worked, which was the most frustrating. Horrible hotel, the male front desk attendant seemed like he did not want to be there!

If you want a modern hotel with all the latest facilities this hotel is not for you. If you want a classic-style hotel with lots of history that's extremely handy for public transport and Paramount Film Studios, then this friendly, clean hotel is highly recommended.
