"Our experience was amazing. The room was so cosy, clean and warm. A beautiful bath with gorgeous toiletries supplied. The owner and son were so friendly and helpful. They have a dry room which was great for our hiking gear. The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had at any hotel, b&b or guest houses. Will definitely be back again. "

"This is a lovely hotel, with charm and character. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy, clean and warm, which was great as it was freezing outside! "We love this place. Have been there 3 times with our dogs. Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime. The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. The chef also needs a shout also, the meals are top class. "

"I stayed in found floor room. Looked tired and is need of decorating. Shower was adequate-plenty of hot water but not very powerful. Windows needed cleaning. Room on whole was clean although stain on duvet cover. Bed comfy. Not staff at hotel so you had to phone through to another hotel for assistance. No food available and a list of take away places for breakfast. "

"Lovely stay celebrating my partners birthday, The place and grounds are stunning, We arrived and had a complementary room upgrade which was very appreciated room was gorgeous! We headed to the spa which had plenty of options there in, we enjoyed a drift away massage which was lovely, we ate in both the grill and the lakeview restaurant both were superb, breakfast was also plenty of options and delicious, Liam who served us was brilliant at his job, Akils cocktails are superb! They brought out a cake and sang to my partner which was a nice touch what we didnt expect,We also did archery with Kevin who was fantastic and good company, we were also given free passes to the wildlife park just a stonesthrow from the property which was amazing, the staff rrally do go above and beyond to make your stay perfect we cant wait to go back again "

"I can't speak too highly of this hotel. The staff couldn't do too much for us, they were courteous and polite at all times. The quality and choice of food was second to none, for the lake District, it was extremely competitively priced....we will be back, soon, for another break. "

"Loved staying here, the staff are lovely and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Room was cold on arrival but we were given an extra heater that did the trick in no time 👍. Nothing would put us off staying here again. Would definitely recommend staying here, we will stay again. Beautiful "
