Nice but too hot
Tricky to find and wasn't expecting to have to email a scan of driving license and credit card. The apartment was nice and double glazing worked really well so really quiet. The downside was the heaters were on and the apartment was way too hot which made sleeping tricky.

Great apartment
West End One is in a fantastic location that cannot be beat! The apartment is lovely and spotlessly clean throughout. The bathroom can do with an upgrade as water pressure is for the shower is a little low and some areas in bathroom has had some water damage. This is a great apartment and would be even better if it had air conditioning units in living area and bedroom

Smelly and uncomfortable
My two biggest problems were the bad smell of the unit itself (possibly from a Smoker) I reported this to customer relations on the first day. And I got a “sorry.” Then due to the proximity to all the restaurants. I was unable to get any fresh air because the exhaust from the vents are at the same level as the windows. And one place must have been burning rubber. So I either had smoke from inside or exhaust from outside. My second issues was one of lack of decor or any attempt to make the room Pleasant at all. And the strangest shower with only half a door.

Excellent Apartment in great location
I booked this apartment at very short notice when very few hotel rooms were available and was a little unsure but it was actually perfect for what I needed - lovely large, clean, quiet flat in a perfect location pretty much on Leicester Square.. As per some other reviews, be aware that depending on which apartment you get, there may be a good few stairs to climb up (Apartment E where I stayed is right at the top) and the only other thing to be aware of is that as there is no reception, just key coded doors, you are asked to provide proof of ID and credit card via email which is a little clunky, but worked out fine for me. I'll definitely stay here if I need somewhere in the vicinity again.

Good place in the heart of London with a few issue
The location is excellent and the Apt was clean and as presented. Please note that Apt E is a 5 story walkup. The bed and pillows are not comfy.

Excellent location and lots of space!
Good experience and would book again - the location is ideal and despite being so central, it’s really quiet in the apartment. (Only issue was water in loo tank took some time to fill up which made for some flush delays!!)

Great location
Great location, great price, perfect for our needs. It was clean, and tidy. Overall very happy. There were no hotel staff as it was an apartment. We were emailed instructions on how to get it, it was very easy.

Good location,but no hot water
Unit A...first impression was bad stench in stairwells, yuk. Unit was fine, spacious and comfortable. Central location. But big problem was no hot water in bathroom. Could have called 24 hour service one, but did not have time to wait for arrival and repair. So I took a cold shower and slipped in the tub in the process. Would also have also appreciated luggage storage, nearest train station is a 10 minute walk through throngs of people.

This is not a hotel, just an apartment. NOBODY, only contact by e-mail, access only at 16:00 (what do you do with your kid and luggage?). No reception, no breakfast, no luggage keeping. My last experience with hotel.com.

West End Gem of an apartment
I stayed at WestEnd One for 2 weeks to catch up with theatre in the West End. I can't think of a better located apartment for this. Within walking distance to almost every venue ( except Wicked at Apollo Victoria) and within stone's throw of the Leicester Square TKTS booth, I was literally at the doorstep of theatre land; with the restaurants and shops of Soho, Chinatown, Covent Garden and Regent Street all around. I'd definitely choose to stay here again for my next trip.

Great location but not a lot else. Need to be fit!
The whole experience was terrible. Although I had paid Expedia a large amount I still had to give my credit card details to Q apartments to get the code to open the apartment. No where is this mentioned when booking. I received an email from Q apartments who I had never heard of about a different apartment. Nothing matched the booking I had made. I read a previous review and saw this had happened before so I contacted Expedia about this who were next to useless. I contacted Q apartments directly in the end. After 10 minutes it was explained that damage had happened with previous bookings and Expedia take no responsibility. In the end I agreed to give my credit card number as I could not cancel the booking. When we get there with our luggage it is up several flights of stairs with a bad smell and dirty carpets. This was just manageable but for many it may not be. When we get inside it is dirty everywhere, the rug is disgusting, there is no bedding for the sofa bed, with a kitchen there is no soap, no t towels, no paper towels. The point of booking an apartment is to be self sufficient. I did some cleaning and they came the next day and left the bedding and paper towels. On the last night my son saw a mouse in the kitchen! I have sent them emails about this and about changing the rug but no response. I definitely would not book again. Location is the only redeeming factor, right behind Leicester square.

Leicester Sq Flat
Location is the best. Directly behind the National Gallery, steps from Leicester Square. Everything in the central tourist area of London is walkable from here. Flat was spacious and pleasant. Although quite a few stairs to reach it. But we needed it after eating our way through seven dials and Covent garden. It would be unwise for elderly or infirm and impossible for handicapped. The reason for the 3 rating on comfort is that there was only one floor fan in the flat. We asked for another but we're told there were no more available. This could be a problem if you have a very warm evening. Noise from the street might inhibit you from opening the windows (no screens) for some breeze. Of course, if you are the one causing the noise, maybe you won't care! All things considered, I would absolutely stay here again.

Appartment right on Leicester Square
Location is amazing, right on the corner of Leicester Square near to the TKTS theatre ticket booth. However it is very much NOT a hotel. We were in apartment B which was up 4 flights of stairs after going in through a door among restaurant tables outside. I was very concerned when the owner/agent insisted having a photocopy of my passport and credit card by Email before they would allow us to stay even though we had pre-paid for the stay. BUT ideal for staying after a night at the Theatre.

Apartment hard to find - not Hotel!
Being in London for the first time, I would have preferred to get a hotel rather than an apartment. I guess I did not read the summary of hotel very well because it was an apartment above an restaurant that needed a code. Once I paid through expedia, I do admit I received an email not from Expedia requesting my passport, and credit card information in order to gain access to the hotel. Who would just send their information via email to someone that they did not engage business with, or let alone never heard of. The name was completely different from the one mentioned on Expedia. So after riding the subway in London with no elevator access, stairs upon stairs, we finally got to the location and search, and searched, and searched for the "hotel" finally I realized it has to be above one of the restaurants on the street. Finally get the address and we did not have a code. I had to use someone phone to call the number on my email, because there was no 1-800 number only number for London. I reached someone and I had to email my passport and give them my cc information over the phone, I finally received the code to access and there were more stairs to climb, about 4-5 flights. Once there, there were not enough blankets, sheets, towels, and of course I could not call because I do not have international phone access. With all of this said, the location is great! and if you are staying for a long period of time, it is a decent apartment.

Hot water was a bit tricky but once we worked it our ok. Steep stairs and lots of them, so make sure you have luggage suitable for this as there are no lifts. Location was awesome. Right in the heart of the West End theatre district. Tube station close by and easy to walk toost places. Really enjoyed our stay.
