Only stayed for one night and needed an early check in as I was sick. Front desk staff waived half my early check in fee without me even asking. Room was across the elevator and I could hear the noise in the hallway very clearly however it was nothing some earplugs couldn’t sort out. No conditioner in the bathroom shower so bring your own!

This is a great hotel, close to Spittlefields. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that it was impossible to figure out how to work the air conditioning, a tutorial at check-in would be extremely helpful. Otherwise totally would stay here again.

The place was close to the underground/metro/subway it was convenient to get around. The room I expected and paid for which was a double deluxe that would be bigger and have a king size bed it did not. I felt cheated. The people were nice and it was a convenient spot.

Staying here was great! Incredibly convenient, clean, walkable, and hospitable staff. The breakfast was phenomenal, such a good variety of options. The room was small but very clean and modern. It had everything needed to make us comfortable for six nights!

Room was clean but was given a wheelchair accessible room which meant the bathroom sink was very low and had a wet room which made the floors slippery and dirty. Also used the late night room service to order pizza, which took over an hour before we headed down to reception to find no one had checked to receive the order, member of staff was just sat on the sofa on his phone and not very helpful. Told us to wait a couple minutes, which I assume they then went and sorted the food after we questioned where it was. An hour and a half after ordering, the pizza turned up and it was pepperoni when we ordered cheese as I am vegetarian and it was barely just cooked.

Great boutique hotel. Not thrilled about the early check in fee but great location and space. Staff was friendly. Would definitely come back. Neighborhood is not the greatest and no parking in front of the hotel. Stay with a family of four and it felt great.

The hotel is just few steps away from the underground (Aldgate East), super convenient for tourists hop on the train, walkable distance to Tower bridge and Tower of London. Hop-on &Hop-off bus stop is also close by, if you choose to lay back to enjoy the city view and attractions without much walking. The staff work at the kitchen/ breakfast are super kind and friendly. I have to say they are hard workers and very decent. I appreciate their service & help during the stay

Lovely stay at the Clayton, really close to the tube and easy to walk around London from here too. Enjoyed the breakfast, would definitely stay here again .

The hotel is located in a good area just a couple of minutes walk from Aldgate East station, Spittlefields Market is around 10 minutes walk away and there is a shop 100 meters away which is open until 1am in case you want a late snack. Breakfast is really good with a selection of hot and cold food plus smoothies and (never seen before) banana bread. The hotel is located in London city so they are careful who comes into the hotel however as a guest you are also put through the third degree to get in after dark. Overall a nice stay.

Our family of 5 gave it a 4.5/10. Friendly staff at the desk, housekeeping not so much. Terribly noisy with sirens all the time. Very difficult to get in and out of and no place to easily get an Uber or Taxi and half the time they don’t understand where to pick you up at or drop you off. Biggest complaint was we requested two rooms next to each other and they literally gave us 2 room on opposite corners of the floor. The corner rooms have two locked doors to go thru which also seemed odd. Rooms are nice but very small and already need quite a bit of maintenance. Our shower leaked all over the floor every time you shower. Limited places to put any luggage. Would not come back or recommend. There’s better places to stay for the money.
