We had an excellent stay at Barry House. The neighbourhood is perfect, with tons of dining and a tube station a block away. The property was well maintained and our room had everything we needed, including AC which we were pleasantly surprised with since our stay was in the middle of a heat wave. It would be nice if they did offer breakfast, though. However we would certainly stay here again.
Really impressed with the hotel, i was apprehensive beforehand. Really clean nice room with Air conditioning that worked fine. Receptionists a really nice guy he warmed my babys milk bottle up and offered to keep the milk in the fridge. Location was brilliant short walk to hyde park leading to all city attractions.
Was on the 4 th floor and had someone who was pregnant. Room and the stairs were thin and hard to walk up .was constantly hot and the fan was full of dust and didn’t produce much cold air .

A simple hotel in a very convenient neighborhood. Just a short walk from the Paddington station, the area offers loads of options for breakfast and dinner.
You get what you pay for. The rooms are pretty small, and furniture and facilities are not new. To hotel’s credit, cleanliness is not compromised, rooms are clear and are neatly kept. Even though shower and toilet are shared, rooms have private sink, so you can wash you face and brush your teeth in privacy.
On the downside, shared shower on the top floor requires some renovation and is extremely tiny. Also, there’s no food option available.

Room was in the attic on third floor with no fire escape, making it a death trap should smoke cascade upwards.

Good proximity to Paddington Station.
If you are a family or group --we were a family of 3 adults (2 petite females and 1 male) and two children-- with 2 x50 pound suitcases plus carry on bags --there are no elevators in the building. When we arrived the person at the desk was unfriendly and did not even offer to help. However the second receptionist who did several back to back shifts was friendlier and even kept our food in the fridge overnight in their staff fridge. There are NO fridges in the rooms or irons ( if you are attending meetings). beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean. housekeeping staff hardworking and much more friendlier. I would return if i did not have heavy luggage and did have any needs for professional activities.
The Room was extremely hot. One fan wasn't working, the other one was very loud. I had an allergic reaction due to house dust mites. We needed to leave the window open at night, because it was so hot, but then it was sp loud that we could not sleep. The bathroom is hat mold in the shower and the sink was not working properly. Would not recommend. Maybe for 1 night. The only good thing was the nearby Paddington station and Hyde park ist just 5 minutes away.
Great location - close to Paddington station - Rooms very clean - had a family room on top floor was very hot inside and bathroom small- however we didn't visit to stay in room - beds very comfy - for the price paid - recommend

Decent value for money. Great for a one nighter to catch an early flight at Heathrow. Clean, comfortable.
