"Friendly check in. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I think it's just been refurbished Good buffet breakfast in the morning, excellent cup of coffee. Big bonus is the car park, a lot of places in Oban don't have this I'll definitely book into here next time. towntown"

I had to ask for toiletries as they were all empty or nearly empty. Reception staff friendly and helpful. I felt 10am check out was a bit early "

"My wife and i atayed 1 night at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is very central to Oban and we booked a room with a sea view and the room was spacious and had a lovely sea view. The room was very clean and tidy, and downstairs has a bar called Markie dans which serves good food & drink "

"Everyone was most accommodating and went out of their way to assist. The nicest touch was the to go breakfast bag placed outside each guests’s door. Would gladly stay there again. It didn’t hurt that Oban is an absolutely beautiful seaside town!"

"No17 The Promenade is a lovely boutique hotel. It is located just outside of the center of Oban, a brisk 10 minute walk along the boardwalk from the downtown. The views of the harbor from the lounge and the restaurant are great, the furnishings are colorful and with lots of character and the hotel staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is fantastic—we loved both our dinner and our breakfast the next morning. We’ll be certain to return! "

"We had one night's stay in a family room on the ground floor including an en-suite. We met Joyce on arrival who was lovely. The room was perfect for us, very clean indeed & all had a good night's sleep. Great location situated at the northern end of town, would definitely stay here again."

"I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍"
