"This guesthouse was clean, modern . It had two rooms of tatami bedrooms with tv. There is a living room which has comfortable couches that can be converted into a bed. Nice kitchen, shower, washer. Very clean. Communication with the owner was excellent."

"Simply put - the two cave onsen at this hotel are fantastic. And indeed, there are several other onsen pools to choose from too. I was lucky to go when the sea was quite rough, and sitting at the front of the cave onsen, soaking in the hot spring while watching the waves breaking on the rocks outside was a really soul satisfying experience. "This was a very cozy stay. All amenities and documentation were well prepared and the place was clean. The host was very quick to reply on Expedia (less than 5 minutes) even at 20:00/8:00pm. If you have a family, having a rental vehicle is a must since walking is unsafe, especially in the evenings. Parts of the walk from Shimosato station and Taiji station do not have sidewalks. Access to the the Nachi area for Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route isn't the closest as you'd have to take train and bus,...

"The best value we’ve had in Japan by far. Bed, bath, breakfast and down to earth people. The man we assumed was the owner speaks english, is solicitous to a fault and serves a great breakfast including some of the tuna Nachikatsuura is known for. 800 yen taxi ride from JR Kiikatsuura station if you have bags or ten minute walk if you travel light. So you are in town to see the falls and temples? Spend a couple of nights here and give your money to a small local concern. Leave your patio door open and let the sound of the ocean across the street lull you to sleep. Five stars for us. Thanks to Pal’s Inn. Also listed as Pulse hotel. "
