"We stayed for two nights in one of the traditional rooms with kaiseki and it was one of the best experiences we have had anywhere in the world. The food was amazing and the staff were very polite and professional. Walking through the park from the front door or into town is also great! The private baths were super relaxing. I also recommend having the staff order you a massage and you will not be disappointed!"

"Some things may be a little outdated in the Nara Visitor Center & Inn but it is the best bang for your buck in town & the staff was outstanding - so friendly & helpful! I’m so glad we decided to spend a couple of days in Nara instead of just doing it as the day trip that it is so often marketed as. Nara is it’s own destination & my favorite part of my whole whirlwind journey through Japan."

"It was super easy to walk to from the metro. The area was quiet, peaceful, and there was a great area for shopping and eating. Nara park was not far. The ryokan was incredible and the temperature was perfect. The rooms were super clean and I love that they provided amenities. "

"This hotel has no staff. A day before checking in, we received an email with a code for the building door, and one for our room door. It was snowing when we arrived, and because the place is unstaffed, the room was really cold. It took several hours to warm it (yes, we also had to clean the dirty heating filter, as other reviews recommended, and translate the remote control to know which button to press because it was not intuitive). The place itself is OK, way bigger than a normal hotel room....

"We were told the privilege of VIP afternoon tea lounge access, and ended up paying for the cakes with an excessive price tag which was not even noticeably displayed for the customers. Felt like to be cheated, and VIPs supposed to have access to drinks and snacks provided in the room. "

"It was very good in general. I thought we could just go out and walk through the park, given the location, but no, we had to go all the way around to go in. The room had very little space for storage. But we stayed only one night so it was ok."

"View from the hotel and onsen was wonderful. Once you reach hotel you won’t get simple dinner you ha e to opt for 6000¥ they did customize for not worth for money even coffee you won’t get. But facilities are wonderful. Breakfast was decent too"

"Great location for Nara main attractions. Easy to find restaurants, next to a market, short walk to Nara Park. The place is new, easy to find and easy to use in general. Few things could be improved. Check in instructions were sent in Japanese only and we needed some codes to access the place so it wasn’t straight forward. Towels were super small and the futon super thin you basically sleep on top of the carpet. We have stayed in plenty of futon and tatami hotels in our trip and this one was...

"Great place to stay, very close to Kintetsu-Nara train station. Lots of places nearby to eat nearby. A short walk to the park. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was very nice. Our only negative point, our room (201) did smell of smoke quite strongly. We believe it was above the smoking room downstairs. Overall a great stay and would recommend highly."

"Staff was always friendly and greeted me. Also kindly showed me the proper behavior in the lobby, I thought I was able to sit in the lobby and eat my onigiri, but it appeared to be bad manners. I learned immediately and went somewhere else to finish it. I think as a foreigner it is also difficult to know all the etiquette, so I am glad to learn and change immediately. The facility is also very clean with all the ammenities that I want. "

"Great hotel that's right across the street from Dotonbori. As far as the room goes, my room was nice and spacious for a single bed. It was clean, the room amenities was adequate, and the bathroom was quite spacious. Good price considering how close it is to Dotonbori. I would stay here again if I ever go back to stay in Osaka. "
