"An exceptional stay from start to finish. Gracious hospitality, a true time capsule with updates in all the right places. The japanese breakfast every day was truly memorable, and the coffee shop on the property was beautiful as well. I could not recommend more, 10/10 stay, worth the price! "Hiro is a real hero! He made our stay so special and an unforgettable experience. We had some travel delays and then extended our trip and he has been so flexible with everything and even gave us a ride to the train station! The place is spotless, good internet, the kitchenette made all the difference with home cooking and it's a central but quiet location. 10/10 for sure!"

"Staff are amazing, helpful, and accommodating; and there’s not even staff on-site. They took care of us even though we kept making mistakes during check-in. House is a newly renovated Kyoto Machiya house, complete with A/C in every room. The experience of staying in a traditional-modern Kyoto house was unforgettable. "This was a spacious, comfortable and unique property in a good location. It was immaculately clean. There is a Lawson store next door and a number of good restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance to the Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple. Bus stops are just outside and subway stations are very close. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room is well insulated and very quiet. It has a washing machine that is supposed to also function as a dryer, but we didn’t have much luck with the dryer...

"Amazing. I will be back. Literally a 5 star experience walking distance to the most beautiful area in Kyoto. Very easy to access anything you want; food, shopping, shrines, metro and trains. The staff couldn’t be more kind always arranging taxis or giving suggestions of where to go and eat etc.. I was sad to leave this hotel. That doesn’t happen very often in traveling. I will be back here one day soon. ❤️"

"The space had great AC. And wonderfully Heated floors. The tatami mats were nice. Very spacious and comfortable. The onsen provided a great hot bath experience with much needed relaxation after the long hikes to the shrines. The location is very central and easy to get around and can comfortably sleep 8. "I loved staying at this property! It had so many amazing amenities in addition to the onsen like the free late night ramen, all day ice cream, and morning yogurt drinks! There was a wide spread of items at the breakfast buffet for a great price. The tatami mat feature throughout the hotel was also so unique. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would come back to this hotel next time!"
