No safe in the room. Any cons, though, were offset by the friendliness and willingness of the staff and the services provided by the hotel. Overall, a quiet and comfortable stay in a good location. "One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The bathrooms are so cute, with blue tiles on the walls and copper pipes that make it look antique. Lots of privacy with curtains at your own bed, your own reading light and outlets. The hostel workers are fantastic. They host daily activities or meals. The night I stayed they made a full dinner for everyone. I would absolutely come back to this hostel"

"This is the second time I’ve stayed a month at Sojourn Ghuznee. Very nice staff and property is in very good shape. Location is outstanding and puts you in the heart of the Wellington CBD. Free washer and dryer on every floor is great for long term stays like myself. Highly recommend and will return on next visit to Wellington."

"We had a great overnight stay at the Bella Vista! The managers were very friendly and offered some helpful tips when we told them we were heading to the South Island after checking out. The motel is in a really nice part of Wellington with a nice cafe a short walk away and great restaurants a bit further up the hill. Would definitely stay there again."

"These apartments are in an excellent location, just around the corner from Te Papa and across the road from the waterfront. Lots of nice eateries within a short walk too. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The balcony had views of the waterfront and was a lovely spot. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Wellington."

The cleanest hotel room…ever!

"This is a small hotel that is near Lambton Quay and the Terrace. At first sight, it did not look like a hotel. When you enter, the reception is very small and there was a long dark corridor to the rooms. I was on an upper floor. The room was surprisingly spacious! There was a small kitchenette and a washer/ dryer. What struck me most was the fact that this was the cleanest hotel room that I have ever stayed in (and in a year, I may have stayed in 20 hotels!) Everything was lovely… the one possible drawback is that the reception closes early. You will need to pick up your luggage before it shuts! "
