"The Family Inn Kei was close walking distance to a few excellent temples and shrines. For public transportation, bus service is minutes away, Tokufuji Stn (next to Family Mart convenience store) JR and Main subway system is a short walk (under 10 minutes) and Kyoto Station less than a 15 minute walk away. Lawson's convenience store is just a minute or two walk! Not too central for many restaurants, but we used the microwave for most dinners."

"I had never seen a hotel with all 10/10 reviews before, so we stayed there to see for ourselves. It's no lie, the place was wonderful. The staff really make it special - they are lovely, friendly, helpful, engaging. We stayed there for a long stretch, and it was our favorite hotel in Japan by far. We were a family of four and opted to book two rooms. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the breakfasts and free drinks in the afternoon. We were able to do laundry in our rooms, too. "We had a wonderful seven days stay at Wander Kyoto Nanajo and will definitely stay again if there’ll be another chance to come back to Kyoto. The entire property is very clean, linens, carpet, bathroom, etc. The staff are wonderful too. The free coffee/tea/water at the lounge area are very much appreciated. The 7-11 across the street is a great addition to the positive points. Kyoto station is just about 15 mins walk."

"We had an amazing stay. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed. The location is in a nice neighborhood within walking distance of various temples and the Gion district. I would highly recommend this property. "

"Excellent stay. Much larger rooms than usual for Japan. I would suggest pre-purchasing the buffet breakfast. It had a great variety of Japanese and Western dishes plus there are few other options nearby. A fairly short walk from the Kyoto station but most tourist spots are at least a mile away. "I could not have asked for better service and accommodations (okay breakfast was okay- not great). Amazing spa and fitness facility. Amazing views of the garden. When it snowed it was like a winter wonderland. My friends and I were blown away by how incredibly nice the hotel was and how much nicer the employees were. This place is EXPENSIVE, but with every penny. I will be back. "

"As it was my first experience with an Onyado, I did not know quite what to expect. The staff was very helpful in explaining and answering any questions that I had. My only disappointment was that it was very difficult to obtain bandages to cover my tattoo. Luckily I had brought some bandages and was still able to utilize the mineral pools. For all I would highly recommend this in. Very clean, delicious food and beautiful setting. Thank you."
